HDPE is a champ for ionic solutions—think electrolytes, salts, or mineral-rich liquids— just like we make because it’s chemically inert. Unlike glass, which is mostly silica (SiO₂) and can leach tiny amounts of alkali ions (like sodium or potassium) into a solution over time, HDPE doesn’t react or release anything.
HPDE is pharmaceutical grade and used for this reason. Glass isn’t perfectly neutral; its surface can interact with ions, especially in highly acidic or basic solutions, leading to trace contamination.
